Natural olive wood
Olive wood is a natural material, so every bowl may vary slightly in grain, colour, knots, markings, shape and overall appearance.
These natural variations are not defects. They are part of the beauty and character of genuine olive wood and ensure that every piece is completely unique.
Each item is individually selected and finished by hand. We work with skilled artisans and carefully check, prepare and dispatch every piece from our UK-based shop.
How to Clean Your Olive Wood:
- Hand Wash Only: Wash gently with warm water and mild dish soap using a soft sponge.
- Never Use a Dishwasher: High heat and prolonged water exposure in a dishwasher will warp, split, or crack the wood.
- Dry Immediately: Wipe dry with a clean towel right after washing, and let it air dry completely standing upright.
- Do Not Soak: Never leave your wooden items soaking in water or wet sinks.
How to Oil & Nourish (Care Guide):
- Regular Oiling: Apply a generous layer of food-grade olive oil, mineral oil, or beeswax every 3–4 weeks (or whenever the wood starts looking dry/pale).
- Easy Application: Use a clean cloth or paper towel to rub the oil evenly all over the wood surface in the direction of the grain.
- Let it Absorb: Allow the oil to soak in for a few hours or overnight, then wipe off any excess with a dry cloth.
- The Result: This simple step seals the moisture, restores the rich golden grain, and protects the wood for a lifetime!
